TômTex, a company specializing in sustainable materials, has announced its official move into production through collaborations with designers Collina Strada and Allina Liu. The collaborative pieces created for their Spring/Summer 2025 collections are set to be available to consumers early next year.

Founder Uyen Tran collaborated closely with both designers to develop custom materials utilizing Series M, TômTex’s proprietary biodegradable vegan textile made from mushroom chitosan. This marks an important milestone for the company as it transitions into commercial production.

Designer Allina Liu has crafted a standout piece for her collection: a black apron dress that serves as a leather alternative, inspired by dark motifs. The initial run will feature over 20 units, with the potential for further production based on demand. These will be available by February 2025.

Meanwhile, Hillary Taymour of Collina Strada has co-developed a unique grass-green flocking material for a lizard bag, which gained attention during its runway debut, particularly highlighted by the “Green Lady of Brooklyn.” A limited quantity of this item is set to be released in March 2025.

These collaborations are significant steps for TômTex as it aims to integrate sustainable practices into the fashion industry.
