Ag biotech companies Syngenta and Intrinsyx Bio collaborate on sustainable farming solutions

Syngenta Biologicals, a leading provider of cutting-edge agricultural biological solutions, and Intrinsyx Bio, a Silicon Valley-based biotech company focused on sustainable agriculture, have announced a partnership to bring a novel biological solution to the global agricultural market.

The collaboration will give farmers access to a carefully curated selection of Intrinsyx Bio’s proprietary endophyte formulations. Endophytes are tiny microorganisms that colonize within plants and can directly fix atmospheric nitrogen, making key nutrients such as phosphorus and micronutrients more available to plants. This reduces the need for synthetic fertilizers, allowing farmers to adopt more flexible nutrient management strategies while minimizing the environmental impact of their farming practices.

The formulations will be available as seed treatments and foliar applications for various agricultural crops.

Syngenta has been investing in strengthening its portfolio of biological solutions for plant and seed health, including research and development and commercial collaborations. This effort reflects the company’s commitment to helping agriculture achieve higher yields with lower environmental impact, a key priority for Syngenta Group’s sustainability goals.

This partnership between Syngenta Biologicals and Intrinsyx Bio aims to provide innovative solutions that support sustainable agriculture practices and promote a more environmentally friendly approach to farming.
