Registration is now open for the CBE JU Stakeholder Forum 2023, which will take place on December 6-7, 2023, in Brussels, Belgium. The forum will bring together key players in the European bio-based sector to discuss the future of the industry and identify ways to accelerate its growth.
The main theme of the forum is “What next for the European bio-based sector?” Participants will engage in a discussion around three key questions:
- How to stimulate demand for circular bio-based solutions?
- How to facilitate access to finance to scale up circular bio-based production in Europe?
- What R&I do we need to keep European leadership in the bio-based sector in the medium-long term?
The forum will also feature an exhibition of innovative bio-based solutions developed by CBE JU-funded projects.
The CBE JU is a public-private partnership between the European Commission and the bio-based industries in Europe. It was established in 2014 to support the development of the circular bio-based economy in Europe.
The CBE JU Stakeholder Forum is an important event for the European bio-based sector. It provides a platform for stakeholders from across the value chain to come together, share ideas, and collaborate on new initiatives.
The forum is expected to attract over 600 participants from a variety of backgrounds, including industry representatives, policymakers, researchers, and investors.
Registration for the event is free of charge and compulsory. To register, please visit the event website.
The European bio-based sector is a key driver for sustainable growth and job creation in Europe. It has the potential to reduce Europe’s dependence on fossil fuels and raw materials, while also creating new opportunities for businesses and consumers.
The bio-based sector is also important for addressing climate change. Bio-based products can help to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and contribute to the transition to a more circular economy.
The European bio-based sector is still a relatively young industry. It faces a number of challenges, including:
- Lack of awareness of bio-based products among consumers and businesses
- Limited availability of financing for bio-based projects
- Competition from fossil fuel-based products
The CBE JU Stakeholder Forum can help to address these challenges by providing a platform for stakeholders to come together and share ideas. The forum can also help to raise awareness of bio-based products and promote collaboration on new initiatives.
The forum is an important opportunity for the European bio-based sector to come together and work towards a common goal of creating a more sustainable future for Europe.
