Zenni Optical, a leader in online eyewear retail, has launched Zenni EcoBloomz, a new line of eyewear focused on sustainability. This collection features frames made from responsibly sourced materials, combining durability and style with eco-friendly innovation.

The EcoBloomz frames utilize a carefully curated mix of materials designed to support a sustainable future. One key component is biobased acetate, made from renewable sources such as castor bean oil, wood pulp, and cotton. This option offers consumers a sustainable choice while maintaining quality and aesthetics.

Additionally, the collection includes recycled PET frames. These are crafted from 85% upcycled PET plastic, repurposing water bottles that might otherwise contribute to landfill waste. This process helps lower carbon emissions and reduce overall waste.

Another innovative feature is the hybrid use of recycled metal combined with biobased acetate. This combination leverages the strength of recycled stainless steel and the environmental benefits of bio-based materials. The result is a frame that promises long-lasting durability and a customizable fit.

Aysegul Colakel, a designer for Zenni, emphasized the brand’s commitment to sustainability. “We’ve paid meticulous attention to every detail, ensuring an eco-conscious collection that doesn’t sacrifice style,” she stated.

In addition to the focus on eco-friendly materials, Zenni Optical will donate one percent of EcoBloomz proceeds to the Wyland Foundation. This initiative supports efforts to protect and preserve the world’s oceans, waterways, and marine life.
