Topsoe provides new tech to Chuangui for SAF

Topsoe has signed an agreement with Chuangui New Energy to provide technology and services for producing sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and renewable diesel.

Chuangui New Energy, located in Qinzhou City, China, will utilize Topsoe’s HydroFlex® technology along with licensing, engineering design services, and proprietary equipment and catalysts.

Construction of the Chuangui plant has begun, with a financial investment decision reached in December 2024. Operations are expected to commence in December 2026.

Once operational at full capacity, the plant aims to process 300,000 tons of feedstock into SAF and renewable diesel annually.

Topsoe’s technology is projected to avoid about 800,000 tons of CO2 emissions each year. This is equivalent to the annual emissions of approximately 160,000 gasoline-powered vehicles.
