The Austrian Biomass Association, along with the Styrian Chamber of Agriculture and BEST (Bioenergy and Sustainable Technologies GmbH) and in cooperation with Messe Graz, are organising the 7th Central European Biomass Conference, CEBC2023, which will take place from 18th – 20th of January 2023 in Graz, Austria.

Together with the other renewable energies wind, water, sun and corresponding energy saving measures, bioenergy contributes to getting out of the fossil energy dependency. The prerequisite for the regrowing biomass is the sustainable management of our forests, fields and meadows. With active forest management, Austria is one of the pioneers here. We take less wood from the forest than grows back. Apart from that, the most (climate) efficient use of resources must always form the basis of our actions.

The leading event of the Central European biomass scene, which has received the Congress Award Graz several times, has an appeal far beyond Austria. With more than 1,400 participants from around 50 nations, the Central European Biomass Conference, which is held every three years, is one of the largest industry events in the world. The “Hauslbauer” trade fair taking place at the same time, with around 40,000 visitors and a traditional focus on the provision of energy in the building sector, is an excellent addition.

Workshops by the International Energy Agency and international bioenergy associations are planned as scientific highlights of the 7th Central European Biomass Conference. An extensive excursion program and company presentations in the form of lectures and information stands effectively combine theory and practice. The extensive supporting program offers enough space for personal networking and the enjoyment of Styrian delicacies.

For more information on the 7th Central European Biomass Conference, contact the Austrian Biomass Association at +43-1-533 07 97 or email them at office@biomasseverband.at
