AFYREN, a greentech company, has earned B CorpTM certification. This global standard is set by B Lab. It measures a company’s social, environmental, and governance performance. The process is independent and verified.
Nicolas Sordet, CEO of AFYREN, said, “B CorpTM certification is a big milestone. It shows our CSR strategy is strong and proves our business model works. It gives confidence to our customers, partners, employees, and investors. We are committed to creating value for people and the planet.”
AFYREN scored 104 on the certification. This is much higher than the national benchmark of 78 and the sector benchmark of 77. The score reflects strong performance in governance, environment, and social impact. The certification recognizes AFYREN’s innovative, circular, and low-carbon bioeconomy model. This is called an Impact Business Model. It aims to deliver positive outcomes for stakeholders. AFYREN’s goal is to help industries reduce fossil resource use by providing bio-based alternatives from biomass co-products through fermentation.
Caroline Petigny, Chief Sustainability Officer, said, “Sustainability is part of our strategy from the start. B Corp recognition confirms our long-term approach. Our third Sustainability Report shows our commitment to transparency. It also shows we want to improve continuously.”
The milestone confirms AFYREN’s focus on environmental, social, and governance goals. It comes with the release of its third Sustainability Report. The report is voluntary and follows the CSRD framework. It offers stakeholders a clear view of AFYREN’s sustainability priorities and progress.
