Arkema, a global leader in specialty materials, has announced that its Nansha site in China has received ISCC PLUS certification. This certification validates the site’s commitment to sustainability and enables the launch of new bio-attributed UV/LED/EB curable resins in the Asian market.
The ISCC PLUS certification recognizes the Nansha site’s adherence to rigorous environmental and social standards. This achievement allows Arkema to offer a wider range of sustainable solutions to its customers in Asia, particularly for applications in advanced electronics, new energies, green mobility, living comfort, and home efficiency.
The new bio-attributed UV/LED/EB curable resins, offered under the Sartomer brand, feature up to 85% biobased content. These products provide a more sustainable alternative to traditional resins, contributing to reduced carbon emissions and a circular economy.
Terry Lin, general manager of Sartomer Greater China Global, emphasized the significance of the certification in supporting Arkema’s customers and value chain partners in achieving their sustainability goals. “This certification ensures the availability of high-quality bio-attributed products that can contribute to the sustainable development of our customers’ end-markets,” Lin stated.
