Plant-based chewing gum reduces Covid transmission

World Bio Market Insights

Researchers at Penn’s School of Dental Medicine have developed a plant-based chewing gum that neutralises the Covid virus. The plants that make up the gum are loaded with DNA from angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 (ACE2), a protein that binds the virus and prevents it from replicating. This can reduce transmission through sneezing, coughing, and speaking.
