Antler Bio secures $4.3M to scale data-driven bovine health tech for sustainable farming

AntlerBio, an agtech startup, has raised $4.3 million (£3.1 million) to expand its innovative EpiHerd data analytics system for bovine health. The company operates in key European dairy markets including the UK, Finland, Sweden, and Denmark.

EpiHerd interprets how a cow’s genes respond to environmental conditions, detecting stress and nutritional imbalances. This helps farmers proactively improve animal wellbeing and increase milk production sustainably.

Maria Jensen, co-founder and CEO of Antler Bio, said, “Bringing EpiHerd to an industry that has never seen such technology is a big challenge, but we’re excited about the future.”

She added, “This investment will enable us to scale EpiHerd across thousands of farms, grow our team, and refine the technology to meet farmers’ evolving needs. Our goal is to benefit profits and animal welfare, supporting sustainable agriculture.”

The funding was provided by The First Thirty Ventures, Endgame Capital, and Generation-RE.

Naeem Lakhani, managing partner at The First Thirty, stated, “Our strategy supports companies creating value where agriculture meets human health and sustainability. Antler Bio exemplifies this by combining biology and technology to reshape the food system.”

He emphasized, “Their work promotes animal welfare, improves farm efficiency, and supports sustainable nutrition for consumers. We’re proud to back their journey toward greener, more responsible farming.”

To date, the company has raised a total of £6.2 million, advancing sustainable and welfare-focused innovations in agriculture.
