Aerable introduces biobased underwear using Chitozen™ technology

Aerable has announced its focus on creating underwear that emphasizes comfort and protection through sustainable practices and innovative fabric technology.

The brand’s key innovation, Chitozen™, consists of a blend of micromodal and chitosan fabrics.

Micromodal is sourced from beech tree cellulose and is noted for its softness, moisture-wicking abilities, and breathability. The production of micromodal is reported to consume significantly less water than conventional cotton.

Chitosan, derived from chitin, is included for its antibacterial and antifungal properties, which aim to support the health of intimate areas.

Aerable asserts that the combination of these materials results in a breathable and protective underwear option. The company positions itself as a solution to the limitations of typical women’s underwear design, promoting a focus on health and sustainability in the garment industry.
