Nature Coatings launches BioBlack Blends for bio-based pigments

Nature Coatings is an award-winning biochemical company. It turns wood waste into black pigments. They announced a new platform called BioBlack Blends. This platform opens new markets for bio-based pigments and dispersions.

BioBlack Blends was created to meet rising demand for sustainable materials. It is practical, cost-effective, and easy to use. Its versatility allows seamless integration into existing products and processes. It replaces carbon black in most industries with bio-based solutions.

Jane Palmer, CEO of Nature Coatings, said, “Innovation that meets market needs has always been our goal.” She added, “BioBlack Blends create new opportunities for bio-based pigments.” These blends respond to the growing demand for alternatives to carbon black.

BioBlack Blends build on the proven performance of BioBlack. They offer application-specific customization. No changes to manufacturing equipment or workflows are needed. R&D teams, manufacturers, and brands can choose particle size, pigment loading, carrier, and costs.

Examples include solventborne dispersions for printing on flexible substrates. Vegetable oil dispersions are used for protective coatings. Waterborne dispersions are suitable for food contact barrier coatings.
