Chilean start-up NotCo was awarded the Innovation Challenge from Roquette at the Future Food-Tech Summit in New York. Thirty-seven international food entrepreneurs competed for the award and three were shortlisted. The winner would benefit from Roquette’s expertise in food, nutrition and health in the future, as a fast-growing global leader in plant-based ingredients and pioneer of plant proteins.
NotCo, founded in 2015 in Santiago, Chile, by Matias Muchnick, Pablo Zamora and Karim Pichara, is a company that produces plant based dairy and meat alternatives. Their mission is to offer nutritious plant based alternatives for a healthier planet without compromising on taste.
The start-up company uses AI to design their products. “Giuseppe”, their algorithm, combines a new series of ingredients to create alluring textures, smells, colours and flavours. NotCo has placed its products in the market from Chile to Brazil and other countries in Latin American. So far these products include NotMayoTM, NotMilkTM, NotIceCreamTM and NotBurgerTM.
