During the 2025 World Food Forum, XAG was honored with the FAO’s Global Recognition for Best Practices and Innovative Approaches. The award celebrates XAG’s Smart Farming Solution, which uses robotics, automation, and digital tools to improve agriculture. This recognition aligns with the 80th anniversary of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).
The FAO ceremony highlights the importance of innovation in agriculture. It emphasizes that plants are vital, providing over 80% of the food we consume. The event recognizes organizations that demonstrate measurable impact and sustainable practices in the agrifood sector.
XAG’s solution transforms farming by integrating drones, autonomous vehicles, IoT devices, and control systems. These tools enable tasks like seeding, crop protection, and irrigation management, often controlled via smartphones or remote consoles.
XAG’s technology reduces manual labor, minimizes chemical exposure, and lowers technical barriers. This makes precision farming accessible to both smallholders and large producers globally. In Vietnam’s Mekong Delta, farmers use XAG drones for spraying, reducing input use and increasing yields.
Young Turkish farmers leverage the Autopilot Console for sowing and harrowing, achieving centimeter-level accuracy. In Zambia, drones combat fall armyworm infestations, protecting key crops such as maize and sugarcane.
Beyond fieldwork, XAG promotes agricultural talent development through its XAG Academy. The program trains rural youth and women worldwide, creating jobs and fostering inclusive modernization.
In the UK, XAG supports licensed drone spraying and BVLOS operations, planting 75,000 trees in just eight hours.
FAO’s recognition underscores XAG’s commitment to sustainable, inclusive, and climate-smart agriculture. Its technology supports the UN Sustainable Development Goals, including Zero Hunger, Responsible Consumption, and Climate Action.
The XAG Agricultural Drone was also showcased at FAO’s first global exhibition, “From Seeds to Foods,” celebrating innovations shaping the future of sustainable farming.
