Superlab Suisse has announced the upcoming opening of its fourth Swiss laboratory facility, located at Campus Biotech in Geneva. The new lab will be ready for move-in by January 2026 and will provide fully serviced laboratory space for biotech startups and life science companies in the Lake Geneva region.
This expansion completes Superlab Suisse’s national network, joining existing facilities in Lausanne, Basel, and Zurich. The Geneva location is designed to meet increasing demand for flexible, ready-to-use lab spaces in a region renowned for its life sciences research and innovation.
Xi Zhang, Founder and CEO of Superlab Suisse, highlighted Geneva’s rising status as a leading life sciences hub. He said, “Geneva is shaping the future of life sciences — and Superlab Suisse is here to build what comes next.”
The new Geneva facility will offer:
- Private and shared laboratory spaces
- On-demand access to shared scientific equipment
- Full operational support, including biosafety, compliance, and waste management
- Access to a vibrant scientific and entrepreneurial ecosystem
- Preferential rates with key lab suppliers via an integrated e-commerce platform
Located within Campus Biotech, the facility benefits from proximity to prominent institutions such as EPFL, Université de Genève (UNIGE), the Wyss Center, HUG, FONGIT, Fondation Campus Biotech Geneva, and Hepia.
The Lake Geneva region, often called Switzerland’s “Health Valley,” is home to over 750 life science companies. Switzerland has ranked first on the UN Global Innovation Index for 13 consecutive years and experienced a 50% increase in life sciences capital investment in 2024.
Igor Fisch, Chair of FONGIT, emphasized Geneva’s emergence as a global life sciences hub. He stated, “We’re proud to support Superlab Suisse’s expansion to Campus Biotech, providing startups with access to world-class infrastructure.”
Xi Zhang added, “With capital, talent, and infrastructure aligned, Geneva is positioned for what’s next. Superlab Suisse is here to activate that potential.”
This strategic expansion aims to bolster Geneva’s vibrant life sciences ecosystem and support the growth of innovative biotech startups across Switzerland and beyond.
