Microbial proteins are a promising and diverse product group for sustainable applications in a.o. food, feed, cosmetics and agrotechnology. The complex structure of the molecules contributes to their unique functional properties, but also to the process challenges and the need for close process control and monitoring. Finding tailor-made solutions and developing cost competitive processes requires the right equipment, experience and know-how. Some examples of how the Bio Base Europe Pilot Plant has done this in the past 15 years.
