Lincolnland achieves bio-protein production goals after APP installation

ICM, a global leader in engineering, constructing, and supporting ethanol plants, has announced the successful implementation of its Advanced Processing Package™ (APP™) by Lincolnland Agri-Energy. The biorefinery, located in eastern Illinois, has surpassed expectations in terms of high-protein production, oil yield, and natural gas reduction.

Lincolnland Agri-Energy began utilizing the APP™ in August alongside ICM’s Selective Milling Technology™, which was already installed in the plant. By following ICM’s stepwise process design approach, Lincolnland was able to seamlessly integrate the necessary technologies to achieve high-protein animal feed production.

Eric Mosbey, General Manager at Lincolnland Agri-Energy, expressed satisfaction with the integration of the APP™ into their facility. Mosbey highlighted the collaborative effort between ICM and the Lincolnland operating team, resulting in the immediate production of high-quality animal feed that exceeds specifications.

The APP™ works by separating corn into distinct components, including fiber, oil, solubles, protein, and enhanced protein with yeast. Lincolnland utilizes these components to create animal feed with a protein content of 50% or more. This high-protein feed offers substantial nutritional benefits for various animal species, including cattle, chickens, swine, fish, and pets.

“Lincolnland has reached a new operational peak,” said Tom Ranallo, vice president of operations at ICM. “We’re excited to see them stake bigger and broader claims in the market, and we’ll be there to support them. This project demonstrates our longstanding commitment to help ethanol producers do more than they ever thought possible.”
