Alfa’s office building, Alfa Campus, has become the second project in the world and the first in Israel and the Middle East/North Africa region to achieve net zero certification through the Global Network for Zero (GNFZ).
GNFZ’s certification process helps businesses and organizations reduce their carbon footprint and achieve net zero emissions. Alfa Campus achieved this milestone through sustainable materials and practices, including solar panels, low-carbon materials, and smart waste and water management.
“We’re thrilled to see Alfa Campus achieve this milestone,” said Mahesh Ramanujam, President and CEO of GNFZ. “This project demonstrates the importance of decarbonizing existing buildings and using those incremental reductions to scale up and down operations.”
Alfa has helped its clients reduce more than 100,000 tons of CO2 emissions through sustainable building practices. The company works with clients to administer and certify sustainable building projects through various certifications and standards, including LEED, WELL, Fitwell, and GNFZ.
“The GNFZ certification has been an excellent tool for us,” said Chen Shalita, Founder and CEO of Alfa. “It has allowed us to complete our mission of Net Zero Carbon while facilitating added value for our operations.”
Alfa joins a growing list of GNFZ partners working to achieve net zero certification for buildings and businesses using the GHG Protocol. The achievement of Alfa Campus highlights the importance of sustainable building practices in reducing carbon emissions and achieving a zero-emissions future.
