GFBiochemicals grows with leadership hires to expand sustainable chemistry

In 2025, GFBiochemicals, a leader in bio-based chemistry, is strengthening its leadership team. The company aims to meet rising global demand for sustainable materials. GFBiochemicals focuses on levulinic acid derivatives and safer petrochemical alternatives. It is expanding its commercial reach, securing supply chains, and scaling industrial production.

GFBiochemicals partnered with Listgrove, a specialist recruitment firm, for 18 months. The goal was to fill three senior roles: Procurement & Supply Chain Director, Plant Project Director, and Business Development Manager. Listgrove used its industry expertise and global networks to make these challenging hires.

The new Procurement & Supply Chain Director will manage supplier relationships and ensure supply continuity. This role is vital as raw material availability and logistics challenges increase. The Plant Project Director will lead projects to move from pilot to full-scale manufacturing.

This ensures reliable delivery of products to global customers. The Business Development Manager will promote GFBiochemicals’ RE:CHEMISTRY® portfolio. Their focus is on increasing adoption in plastics, packaging, and chemicals.

GFBiochemicals’ momentum includes a €15 million Series A funding round and acquisition of Segetis in the US. The company’s products, such as Solve100 and Move200, replace harmful chemicals with bio-based solutions. Its efforts earned a Silver sustainability rating from EcoVadis and the ICIS Innovation Award.
