GCL TECH, the world’s leading research and development-focused and intelligent photovoltaic materials manufacturer, has debuted their breakthrough granular silicon at Intersolar Europe 2023. The innovative product should significantly reduce the CO2 footprint and energy consumption in solar module production.
GCL TECH’s granulated silicon of the fluidized bed reactor (FBR) is revolutionizing solar production, and the FBR as a new technology improves the reliability of solar modules increases while reducing carbon emissions and overall production costs, leading to sustainable growth of the solar industry.
“We are delighted to be at Intersolar Europe to demonstrate our commitment to developing high-tech solar solutions for users worldwide. The birth of GCL’s FBR granular silicon represents a significant milestone in our journey to enable the solar industry to build a greener value chain. Looking ahead, we will continue to expand our overseas presence by increasing our investment in manufacturing bases worldwide and aligning with our ambition to accelerate the global energy transition,” said Lan Tianshi, Co-CEO of GCL TECH.
GCL’s FBR granular silicon meets four international standards and is recognized and embraced by the industry as a legitimate alternative to traditional rod-shaped silicon because of its lower unit investment cost, lower operating cost and has lower carbon emissions.
FBR granular silicon is certified by the China Quality Certification Center (CQC) and the French Environment and Energy Management Agency (ADEME) as a clean and energy-efficient solution and emits only 37 kg of CO2 per kilogram, resulting in a reduction in carbon footprint of more than 35%.
