EnviTec Biogas USA Inc., a subsidiary of German biogas leader EnviTec Biogas, has announced the completion of two biogas plants in Cassville, New York and Ellington, Connecticut. Construction on the plants began 18 months ago.
The plants use dairy manure to produce biomethane, a renewable natural gas (RNG), which is then fed into nearby natural gas grids. According to Stefan Dehne, General Manager of EnviTec Biogas Construction LLC, the gas is transported by trailer to injection points.
Both plants use a similar design to reduce costs and construction times. The Cassville plant has a production capacity of 135 scfm of RNG, while the Ellington plant produces 150 scfm.
EnviTec Biogas not only supplies the technology but also offers biological and technical services to its US customers. The company leverages its two decades of experience in biogas plant construction and operation to ensure optimal performance.
“We are continuously expanding our stock of spare parts at our two North American warehouses to improve plant availability,” said Dehne. “Additionally, we are establishing our own laboratory with support from our Biology department in Germany.”
