Global efforts to decarbonise are changing the tools and tricks of every industry, and in the construction sector we’re seeing innovators look to a range of materials to make our buildings greener. While hemp was used as a building material years ago, criminalisation of the cannabis plant (of which hemp is in the same family) made harnessing it impossible. However, now that it’s been legalised the wonder material may be making something of a comeback as an organic insulator for our homes.
