Bioelements Group, a sustainable packaging company, has announced its entry into the United States with the establishment of its US headquarters in Houston and plans for a BIOLab research facility. The company, based in Santiago, Chile, has developed a portfolio of innovative biobased, biodegradable, and compostable packaging materials.
With a presence in Latin America, Bioelements serves well-known brands such as Adidas Chile-Peru, Australis Seafoods, and Walmart Mexico. The company aims to cater to the growing demand for sustainable packaging in the US market by developing US-based capabilities.
Bioelements’ products are designed to biodegrade under various conditions, with some formulations taking as little as three months to break down and others up to 20 months. The company has developed over 30 customized formulations that meet client needs and comply with regional regulations.
The company collaborates with 17 scientific institutions in Latin America to validate the bio-based content and biodegradability of its products. Bioelements expects to establish similar partnerships with US academic institutions in the near future.
With its expansion into the US market, Bioelements aims to provide innovative sustainable packaging solutions to brands in various industries, including retail, e-commerce, food, home and personal care, and specialties.
