Auramarine has announced its plan to deliver two shipsets of diesel fuel oil (DFO) and liquid biofuel (LBO) supply systems to the Finnish shipping company Meriaura. These systems will be installed on two cargo vessels operated by Meriaura, with manufacturing taking place at Auramarine’s facility in Shanghai.

The delivery of the fuel supply systems is scheduled for May 2025 and March 2026, coinciding with the ships’ construction timelines at the shipyard. These systems are designed to supply fuel oil to the vessels’ engines while maintaining the necessary temperature and viscosity requirements.

Auramarine’s fuel supply systems are versatile, accommodating various types of biofuels, aligning with industry trends towards sustainable shipping solutions.

John Bergman, CEO of Auramarine, noted the crucial need for quality fuel management solutions as the shipping industry transitions to a multi-fuel future.

Beppe Rosin, CEO of Meriaura, highlighted the company’s commitment to achieving carbon neutrality by the 2030s. He mentioned Meriaura’s proactive approach to alternative fuel solutions, including the development of their own biofuel and investment in technology to facilitate its use in their operations. Rosin acknowledged the significance of working with a reputable local technology provider like Auramarine in this endeavor.
